For centuries, humans believed dragons were all killed in the great catastrophe that devastated their lands.

Dragons know differently.

When humans encroach on dragon territory for the first time in a thousand years, only the dragon Lamprophyre, daughter of the dragon queen, wants to know why. Her curiosity leads her to encountering Prince Rokshan, the human king’s youngest son, and then to becoming the ambassador to the humans.

But not all humans are happy about dragons reappearing, and some of them have plans to stop it. Worse, an evil entity known to neither humans nor dragons has its own sinister agenda. Lamprophyre and Rokshan must work together to save both dragons and humans from destruction.
